Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former presidential candidate and Donald Trumpās nominee for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, has doubled down on his support for Bitcoin, revealing that he has most of his wealth invested in the worldās oldest and largest cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin-Friendly RFK Jr. Is Fully Committed
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is putting his money where his mouth is.
In a recent post, the former independent U.S. presidential candidate called BTC the ācurrency of freedomā, emphasizing the premier cryptoās ability to hedge against fiat currency inflation. Kennedy also stated that Bitcoin is a financial tool that the United States needs to repair economic setbacks like the debasing of the dollar and skyrocketing national debt.
RFK Jr. reiterated in a viral video that heās a āhuge supporterā of Bitcoin. He indicated that after attending the Bitcoin Conference, he went home and put most of his wealth into the benchmark crypto. āSo Iām fully committed,ā he continued.
Though Kennedyās family has a deep legacy as Democratic royalty, the son of 1960s politician icon Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy suspended his campaign to endorse pro-crypto Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Industry pundits believe a Trump administration will be less hostile to the crypto industry than Joe Bidenās current approach.
Kennedyās History Of Bitcoin Endorsement
RFK Jr. has long been a prominent advocate for crypto, particularly, Bitcoin. In July 2023, he disclosed purchasing two Bitcoins for every one of his seven children.
The former presidential candidate then said earlier in April that he intended to put the entire U.S. fiscal budget on the blockchain to attain maximum transparency and government accountability.
And while speaking at the Bitcoin Conference in July, he promised to establish a strategic reserve if he became president and sign an executive order that would move the U.S. governmentās mammoth Bitcoin stash to the Federal Reserve. RFK. Jr had also committed to making the government buy $615 billion in Bitcoin to match the nationās gold reserves.
Kennedy was recently nominated for U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services by President-elect Donald Trump.
