When you grow up with siblings, you often find yourself being blamed, or even paying, for your siblings' mistakes. If you are a middle child (like yours truly) you are constantly paying for your older and younger sibling's misdeeds, until you get used to basically being the family's scapegoat.
Is it fair? Absolutely not. But can you do something about it? Usually also… no.
In most occasions, the outcome of paying for your siblings' mistakes is not so bad. Maybe you'll be grounded for a week, maybe you'll have to physically pay for something that broke around the house, maybe all you have to do is sit through another lecture from your parents, but it is all quickly forgotten and you can move on.
On other occasions, you find yourself 'paying' much more for your siblings' problems, so much so that you may consider standing up for yourself once and for all.
The brother in the story down below, found himself having to face the consequences of his sister's big mistake, and you can be sure he did not simply accept his fate.
