This is annoying if you want to follow things without creating an account, the way you can with Bluesky and Mastodon. to the beginning of a domain in your address bar. Hit enter and an RSS feed for the page will open. This means you can keep track of anything you're hoping to buy—just create an RSS for the term and you'll see when someone posts it.Credit: Justin Pot
Tumblr works the same way: head to any profile page and add
openrss.org
to the beginning of the URL, as in openrss.org/www.tumblr.com/username
. You'll now get every new post by that user right in your feed reader.OpenRSS offers feeds for more than the apps listed on their feeds page. You can find others by adding the URL
openrss.org
to the beginning of any website on the web—if OpenRSS offers a feed for the site, it gives it to you (and if not, you'll see a page explaining that). It's a quick way to find feeds for sites that don't make them obvious. Keep OpenRSS in mind the next time you can't find an RSS feed—it just might do the trick.Full story here:
